We trailed down to little old Bristol Tennessee for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Spent some time with Grandmother, Tuke Honey, Wendy, Ray, and later we went by Jeff's friend Travis and light up floating paper lanterns which was really neat. I wish I had gotten a picture of that just to share with you all, but I was unable to *sad face*
I always love going to see Grandmother and Tuke, their gentile hearts and warm welcoming always brings me in so much deeper than I ever realize, it makes me miss the Holidays with my mother, i miss her so much more than anyone will ever know. I still can't believe she has been gone a year now..I miss everything about her...but that's a different story for another time.
Anyway the four of us, we adventured out to Bristol to join grandmother & Grandfather Tuke Honey for Thanksgiving. I think they rather enjoyed their selves, they indulged in the company of the children, it's hard to really get down there sometimes, we try to go down several times a year or when we can, Bristol from our house is about a total of three hours away. Jeff works a lot and with school we don't always get to see them as much as we would like.
This made for the second time they were able to see little miss Chloe, Grandmother of course was smitten, Chloe is the second girl born to the Webbers - her great aunt Wendy was the first and there for a while everyone thought she would probably be the last, all the Webbers have produced nothing but boys, so for miss Chloe to come everyone is very taken back and smitten, but of course she's just really easy to fall in love with (I'm not saying that just because she's my daughter, she really is a great happy tempered baby).
Of course with babies we always seem to run late to things, so while Graham, Jeff, and I ate our thanks giving lunch at the table, Grandmother spent time singing and rocking Chloe. It really tickled her so much, which I'm glad she gets to experience her great grandchildren. Graham ate the potato-salad on his plate mostly, we hardly touched his green beens which surprised us both since he LOVES his green beens. After dinner he made off with a gingerbread cookie which he probably managed to get everywhere else BUT his mouth lol.
We spent several hours with them, talked, laughed at Graham being the little ham that he is daily. All in all we had a good day, got to see everyone that we wanted to see. I hope everyone else had a good one as well, and stuffed themselves to the point of stuffing explosions. ;D
